Areas of Expertise

Trauma Treatment

We’ll work together using cognitive, somatic, behavioral, and emotionally focused techniques to change the way you respond in the present to the trauma of the past. The goal is to make your experience a part of your history rather than something that determines your life today.

Therapy for Anxiety and Depression

Initially, we’ll focus on gaining relief from distressing symptoms. Then we will build skills to prevent recurrence and enhance resilience in dealing with life’s difficulties.

Major Life Transitions

I’ll guide you with empathy and practical strategies. Whether it’s retirement, job loss, or an empty nest, I can support you through this new chapter.

Chronic Illness and Pain Management

We’ll address the psychological factors that exacerbate physical symptoms. My goal is to help you regain control and enjoyment of daily life.

My Clients

Many of my clients are highly successful professionals who have achieved much in their careers and lives but still feel unfulfilled or that something is missing. I also enjoy working with young adults who are navigating major life changes as well as challenges in careers, family, and relationships. I see many individuals in transition, whether it’s retiring from a long career path or adjusting to the empty nest stage of life.

While the specific challenges may differ, my goal is consistent across life stages and demographics – to help people identify and address what is holding them back from living according to their true purpose and values. Through our collaborative work, individuals discover how to let go of unnecessary burdens, gain clarity on what matters most, and live in ways consistent with their truest selves. The goal is to leave our sessions empowered to finally feel whole.

Fee Structure:

How We Work Together

As your therapist, the clients I find I can help the most are those fully committed to the hard work of change. My approach is collaborative – I provide guidance and expertise, but real progress depends on you.

It’s important that you actively participate in goal-setting and are willing to practice new skills between our sessions. I also ask that you communicate openly so I can understand your unique situation. While change is difficult, maintaining consistency with our treatment plan and appointment schedule will help ensure success.

Lasting transformation requires diligence and persistence. If you make this level of commitment, I believe together we can achieve meaningful results. Are you ready to do what it takes? I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have over 30 years of experience effectively treating clients for anxiety, depression, and trauma using evidence-based treatment like mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy and related techniques. Helping individuals overcome these challenges is my specialty.

Yes, the majority of my clients are adults and seniors. I’m well-versed in issues like retirement, health concerns, grief, and adjusting to life changes that are common at these stages. Supporting career transitions is another area of my expertise.

Sessions last 45-50 minutes. We’ll discuss your goals, any challenges you’re facing, and exercises to practice. My approach is collaborative – I provide guidance and feedback while you do the important inner work. It’s a supportive space to facilitate meaningful change.

The 15 minute consultation to determine whether to work together is free. The initial session is $250, with follow-up sessions priced at $200. Payment is collected via credit/debit card after each telehealth appointment for your convenience.

I operate on a private pay model to ensure full confidentiality and do not participate in any insurance plans. However, you may be eligible for out of network benefits through your plan. I have partnered with Thrizer to make it easy for you to determine and access any benefits you have. Just ask and I will send you a link to Thrizer. It will take you only a few minutes to determine your benefits.

Alternately, after each session you will receive a receipt (often called a “Superbill”) which you can choose to submit to your insurance company for consideration. Many policies do provide some out-of-network reimbursement. That is a matter entirely between you and them. I would encourage you to contact your insurance company to determine if they offer out of network reimbursement.

Yes. Please use my online contact form to get started or give me a call to discuss intake openings. I try my best to schedule new clients within 1-2 weeks of initial contact whenever possible.

While I have experience supporting those in long-term recovery (at least two years), my practice is not specialized for those currently struggling with active addiction or early recovery. My approach is best suited for those seeking to address underlying life issues once sobriety is well-established.

Yes, the majority of my sessions are conducted via secure video conferencing for maximum flexibility and convenience. I’m licensed to provide teletherapy services in New York and Florida.

The first session involves gathering background information through questionnaires and discussion. It helps me understand your needs and concerns so we can collaboratively develop appropriate treatment goals and determine the best therapeutic approach.
